Light goes faster in reverse
The Register: A group of US physicists funded by the US Department of Energy have made a material capable of making light travel backwards, at speeds "that appear faster than the speed of light", at the smallest wavelength ever.

ACCELERATION OF PHOTONS AND EINSTEIN'S SECOND POSTULATE
Effects of this kind have a simple explanation: photons can undergo acceleration and, accordingly, their speed can become greater than 300000 km/s. In fact, Einstein admitted this in 1911 but failed to draw the fatal conclusion that his second postulate - the speed of light is independent of the speed of the light source - was false.
