Quantifying entanglement in macroscopic systems

Nature: Traditionally, entanglement was considered to be a quirk of microscopic objects that defied a common-sense explanation. Now, however, entanglement is recognized to be ubiquitous and robust. With the realization that entanglement can occur in macroscopic systems — and with the development of experiments aimed at exploiting this fact — new tools are required to define and quantify entanglement beyond the original microscopic framework.

With the realization that entanglement can occur in macroscopic systems, one wonders exactly where the size limit of entangled systems lies.

Could it be one day possible that entire living human bodies can be entangled with other mass-energy arrangements thus leading to quantum teleportation of the quantum information defining entire living human bodies? If human consciousness or the human personality is dependent on the quantum mechanical information arrangement embodied by the human brain/body as opposed to the actual mass-energy content of the human brain/body, perhaps the human consciousness or the human personality can be teleported along with the quantum information that defines the human body/brain in which the consciousness subsists. I believe that even if it turns out that Scholastic Theologians are correct when they hold that the human soul is intrinsically independent of matter for its existence or that it exists per se and that it is naturally in-corruptible per-addends and per se, i.e., that it is spiritual and independent of matter and energy for its existence, perhaps it is united to the living human body not thru its union with the bodies mass-energy itself, but rather through the quantum mechanical information that defines the living human body. Thus, perhaps the human soul's union with the body it animates can be teleported along with the quantum information defining the human body.

One can go the extreme and consider whether transports or space craft and their contents can be entangled for quantum transport over long distances.

Perhaps for extreme distanced quantum transport, the information defining the human body or a transport can be teleported using some medium of transport that would not be easily disrupted such as a beam of neutrinos incorporating the coded quantum information defining the human body or transport to be teleported. If neutrinos were not up to the job, perhaps other forms of weakly interacting massive particles or perhaps weakly interacting bosons that travel at the speed of light could be used for this purpose.
