I think "SCE&G’s plan to build two reactors" is a great idea.

I think that nuclear power can be practiced in a safe manner as evidenced by the excellent safety record of ship board reactors that power U.S. Navy Submarines and Aircraft Carriers.

When we eventually start to deplete our known reserves of U-235 containing uranium ore, we can shift to using nuclear fuel made in breeder reactors.

As I see it, nuclear, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal and ocean wave energy can be used to rid our civilizations dependence of fossil fuels completely. Bio diesel and other chemical fuels can be produced in part from any of the above energy sources.

The potential threat of serious global warming is potentially much worse than a serious nuclear reactor mishap.
