World Trade Center's collapse suggests ITER will require tougher steels

I wonder if the material Titanium-Aluminide or similar materials have been considered for the development of the walls of the fusion reaction chambers.

I have a family member who worked within the military jet aircraft research and development industry and who had some familiarity of materials used in tests of research jet engines including turbine blades.

Titanium Aluminide is a somewhat brittle at room temperatures but very tough and flexible at high temperatures e.g., at around 1,000 degrees C.
