BBC: The CERN research teams that announced the detection of the Higgs particle last month have updated their findings. Because the theorized particle exists for only a brief period of time before decaying into other particles, the identity of the particle can be determined from the various ways that it decays. After examining two additional decay channels, the Atlas detector team has reported an increase in the statistical significance of the Higgs signal to 5.9 sigma. The CMS detector team members reiterated their 5-sigma signal after they included more of the data collected this year.

In my previous comment, at the article “Scattered Media Attention Focuses on the Higgs Boson, Physics Today, June 25, 2012″, I described a very simple and very comprehensive proof, that to find the Higgs boson, progress in establishing of Standar Model is almost zero. Nobody paid any attention and my proof passed almost unnoticed. In contrary some media wrote that: The discovery of Higgs boson is the greatest discovery of all time. This discovery, confirms the Standard Model of elementary particles, provides the mass of elementary particles, explains the origin of the universe, the existence of dark matter, helps in unification of fundamental forces and leads to the end of Physics.
Because my feeling is that: this story will take a long time without any particular benefit for science and because I believe that the standard model is a false theory, make the following very simple thought. To be considered, that among the energy levels 125,3-125,6 Gev confirmed, -at one hundred percent-, a signal. Then stop the experiment ATLAS, -in order to stop the unnecessary expenses-, and after this the responsible people, to explain, how this signal is utilized as confirmation and how it gives clear explanations, for the Standar model, etc?
For example, I personally like to know how? According to the above confirmation, -that at the levels of energy, 125,3-125, 6 Gev, found a signal-, do will calculate the masses of the fundamental particles of matter; proton, neutron and electron?
In conclusion, I want to point out once again that the problem is not solved with the discovery of a signal. In contrary, I have the opinion, that the identification of a signal with the Higgs boson, will create, enormous problems in science.
