Hillary Clinton on science education
Hillary for President: ...I’ll improve math and science education, and open up science and engineering to more of our people. And I’ll end the assault on science waged by the Bush Administration.

Improve how? I didn't know some people are barred from science and engineering in this country. Yes, Bush has been assaulting science during his term. He has embraced man-made-global-warming and by supporting ethanol, wants us to trade food for gas. However, I don't think Billery will end this madness. It just sounds like the usual vagueness that allows politicians to do whatever they want once in office.

If Hillary thinks she knows anything about science she needs to rethinks her life. She is a political idealist we need more money not more schools.

To Germ and John Maddrey:
Apparently, you didn't bother to look under the "Science Investment" category that actually goes into detail about where Hillary Clinton stands regarding funding scientific research and increasing funds to different science agencies.
I would suggest looking under point #2. And, note that none of the other candidates listed have answered as thoroughly on that category as she has.

Her answers and comments are bogus. Democrats in general have ruined the science education in this country. The school system today which is designed and run by democrats are nothing but failure. You don't believe that; go ask any school kid what they know about science and you find out how far behind they are relative to other countries, even those in Africa.
But you know frankly, George Bush has been in office for 8 years now and 2 of those years with both houses under Republican rules and he did not do much to change things in our school.
When I look at the public schools today, I shake my head in disbelief. Lack of discipline, morals, respect for God or country, lack of a solid education with emphasis on Math, Science and Reading. I volunteered to tutor some fifth grade kids at a local elementary school which had failed to pass the state standard test in Math and Reading, and I was horrified to find that some of the students did not understand a simple division, such 4 divided by 2. They had never heard or seen a multiplication table. God help us all
